offender Jeffrey Epstein. accusing him of - among other things - asking his 15-year-
old victim to quit her job at The Mar-a-Lago Club to become what amounted to his 
sex slave. 
The lawsuit alleges that the girl. then working as a changing room assistant for $9 an hour at the club. 
was recruited there by Epstein's then-companion Ghislaine Maxwell in 1998. Maxwell told the girl, and 
her father who was an employee at the club, that she could learn massage therapy and earn a "great deal

The lawsuit alleges that - in all of these locations - she was required to engage in sex acts with him and

"Most of these acts of abuse occurred during a time when defendant knew that the plaintiff was

Epstein's "predilection for young girls was well known to those who regularly procured them for him

According to the lawsuit. Epstein displayed photos of naked underage girls throughout his homes in 
Palm Beach, New York City. Santa Fe and the U.S. Virgin Islands. including a naked photo the victim 
saw of herself displayed in his Palm Beach home. 
The victim believes naked photos of her as a minor were confiscated by the Palm Beach County 
Sheriffs Office during the October 2005 execution of a search warrant on his Palm Beach home and are 
still in the custody of law enforcement. 
In September 2002. the girl took a trip to Thailand by herself, which was paid for by Epstein. It was 
there that she met and married her husband. She moved with him to Australia. where they have been 
living a "modest lifestyle." 
She had no contact with Epstein or anyone connected to him until 2008. which is when, the lawsuit says, 
she received several calls from one of his agents. asking whether she knew any of the girls and women 
filing lawsuits and if she was going to file one. During one of the calls. Epstein got on the phone himself 
and questioned her, the lawsuit says.

Pen Wall Street financier Jeffrey Epstein is scheduled to be released from the main Palm 
Beach County jail at dawn Wednesday. 
That's six months before the end of his 18-month sentence. 
The billionaire friend of former Prez Bill Clinton then has 48 hours to register as a sex offender 
at his $10 million-home on Palm Beach's El Brillo Way. Even more humiliating for the high-
finance whir, he's required to give up a saliva DNA sample for the state's database. 
The 56-year-old then will be on probation for a year and will have to contact his probation 
officer weekly, according to county records. 
"He'll be released like everybody else," a jail source said. "He was sleeping at the stockade 
(near the fair grounds at the western edge of West Palm Beach) but we brought him back to the 
main jail for the paperwork." 
Accused of a plethora of sexual shenanigans with underage hookers, Epstein was the target of 
an 11-month investigation by Palm Beach Police in 2005-06. Detectives even went trash-diving 
for evidence that Epstein routinely received young girls, some as young as 14, in his home for 
sex. 
But with a dream-team of lawyers that included Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and Ken 
Starr, a key figure in the Monica Lewinsky case against Clinton, the case dragged on for 
nearly two years as the then-State Attorney Barry Krischer seemed unsure what to do.

In time, with the feds breathing down Krischer's neck, he and Epstein's lawyers worked out a 
deal that would keep him from serving hard time. He pleaded guilty to two felony counts: 
procuring a minor and prostitution solicitation. 
Sporting an ankle bracelet, Epstein actually has been going to his office during business hours 
since October, and spent nights and weekends at the stockade. 
He could have been sentenced to five years in prison.

The Fourth District Court of Appeal has agreed to Jeffrey Epstein's request to halt the 
impending release of his non-prosecution agreement with the federal government.
Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath had ordered the release of the documents at noon today. The 
documents were sealed in state court last year when Epstein. a convicted sex offender and 
billionaire financier. pleaded guilty to two felony charges. Colbrath ruled proper procedures 
weren't followed in sealing the documents. 
Now the decision whether to make them public is in the hands of the appellate court, which 
has given attorneys on both sides of the case a total of 20 days to present their arguments. 
Epstein's appellate lawyer. Jane Kreusler-Walsh. made an emergency request Wednesday 
that the appellate court annul the lower court order, saying release of the agreement would 
cause irreparable harm to her client. 
Attorneys for women suing Epstein, and a lawyer for The Palm Beach Post, have argued that 
the public and media should have access to the information and that the victims should be 
able to use it in their lawsuits. 
Krcuslcr Walsh would not comment on the Fourth District's order. 
But Spencer Kuvin. a lawyer for one of the victims, called the decision "frustrating." 
"The rules shouldn't be different for rich people than they are for poor people," Kuvin said. 
"Had Epstein been a regular citizen, and not a billionaire. this document would have been 
made public a long time ago." 
Epstein pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitution and procuring teenagers for prostitution. 
He was sentenced to 18 months incarceration, but is due to get out five months early, on July 
22. 
State and federal authorities said Epstein paid teenage girls for massages and sometimes 
sex at his Palm Beach home.

On the second page of the secret deal between federal prosecutors and Jeffrey 
Epstein, we read that the agreement will serve the interests of "the United States, the 
State of Florida, and the Defendant." Wrong on the first two, right on the third. 
Until Friday, the public didn't know the terms of the deal that finalized the case of 
the Palm Beacher who arranged to have girls brought to his house for sex and 
massages. Only Epstein's platoon of lawyers, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the 
Southern District of Florida and the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office knew the details. And 
now we know why the perpetrators of this outrage didn't want the public to know.

The agreement thus placed the Department of Justice in a role similar to those of the four women who 
procured girls for Epstein. If there's a precedent in this or any of the other 92 United States attorney's 
offices, we'd like to hear it. Not surprisingly, R. Alexander Acosta also agreed not to prosecute those 
women. 
The deal is an indictment of a system that did much more for a criminal than 
for his victims. Jeffrey Epstein - officially a registered sex offender but in 
plain terms a pervert - escaped what should have been serious prison time. 
Instead, the federal deal allowed him to plead guilty to light charges in state 
court. He spent just 13 months - nights only - in the Palm Beach County Jail. 
Meanwhile, the government tried to help Epstein buy off the young girls 
whom Epstein had exploited. 
Several of those girls have filed civil suits against Epstein. (Their lawyers and 
lawyers for The Post sued to make the plea deal public.) In the agreement, the 
government proposes to identify all the alleged victims and steer them to a 
lawyer, whose expenses Epstein would pay. In return, however, the victims 
would withdraw all lawsuits from state court and agree to a settlement in 
federal court of no more than $150,000 each. Even then, of course, Epstein 
would not acknowledge any "liability." 
If the outcome is frustrating, so is the lack of accountability. Mr. Acosta's name is on the deal, but he's 
now the dean of Florida International University's law school. A call to his office for comment Monday

was not returned. The name of Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Marie Villafana is on the deal. She still works 
as a federal prosecutor in West Palm Beach, but Alicia Valle, the office's special counsel, said in an e-
mail, "We cannot comment on your questions." Didn't she really mean will not? 
This case got into the federal system because former Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter believed 
that Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer wasn't moving aggressively enough. Mr. 
Krischer retired last year. The assistant state attorney who oversaw the case is no longer with the office. 
At this point, the public must hope that the civil suits suck as much money from Epstein as possible. 
Money seems to be all that he understands. Also, Jeffrey Sloman is serving as the acting U.S. attorney 
for the Southern District of Florida until President Obama nominates a permanent replacement for 
confirmation by the Senate. It would be good to know that whoever follows Mr. Acosta is on record that 
the Jeffrey Epstein deal did not serve the interests of the United States.

Circuit Judge Donald Hafele sanctioned billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein $800 
Wednesday for walking out of a deposition during questioning about the shape of his penis. 
Epstein's attorneys ended the Sept. 2 deposition when opposing attorney Spencer Kuvin 
asked the question immediately after Epstein stated his name. Kuvin represents B.B., an 
underage victim of Epstein's alleged sexual abuse. 
Hafele said Wednesday that Kuvin may ask questions in whatever order he wants and the 
attorneys can either object or Epstein can invoke his Fifth Amendment right. 
The judge ordered that the deposition be reset. 
Epstein, of Palm Beach, served 13 months of an 18-month felony sentence for procuring a 
minor for prostitution and soliciting prostitution. Now serving one-year of probation in his Palm 
Beach mansion, Epstein is being sued by more than a dozen young women who were minors 
at the time they were allegedly sexually abused by Epstein.

Jeffrey Epstein is a registered sex offender. That's it. We need know nothing more about this man. His 
actions were base, ignoble and prurient. 
He has never shown a scintilla of remorse for his offenses against young girls. (Not women, girls.) Civil 
society should shun him. Keep your children away. This is your civic duty. 
Our elected and appointed prosecutors, armed with the immeasurable resources they can bring to a 
case, failed when they cut Mr. Epstein's deal and set him loose on society. 
Don't believe for a moment that he served real time: a work-release program permitted him to walk out 
of the Palm Beach County Stockade six of every seven days during his sentence. And because he was 
on work release he was awarded gain time, reducing the 18 months to 13. That is a crime. 
While his deal with prosecutors, made public about a week ago, is silent on this matter, rumor has it 
Mr. Epstein is helping the feds. The talk runs the gamut: he may be talking to the FBI, IRS or SEC, 
unraveling a major Ponzi scheme, or testifying against a highly placed elected official. 
But even if this is true, it wouldn't make up for what he did to his victims. Even if he were now helping 
the country find Osama Bin Laden, Mr. Epstein's punishment should have been much more harsh. 
Former Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter and his department stand alone in trying to uphold 
justice in this case. Without their dogged pursuit of the evidence and Mr. Reiter's push for Mr. Epstein's 
prosecution, he could still be plying his sexually deviant behavior with impunity. 
Read all the public documents in Mr. Epstein's criminal case. Then, when you are thoroughly 
disgusted, let the officials know they did a horrific job in protecting children. Yes, children. 
It was their civic duty, but they failed.
